Behind the scenes of MCB 2010

I landed at Paris Orly airport on Saturday morning. Time for a taxi and I found Eric Zemmour at the hotel opposite the Parc des Expositions. He shows me the cast he has prepared. This is the point of rendezvous. We review the material we have prepared Sophie Baucis , Laetitia Guenaou , Christophe Cleavers .

The Exhibition is immense. From a quick glance, I already fix all the stands of the press pro: The Scout , Biblond , Echos Hair ... I pass several hardware vendors and see him behind them the village L'Oreal (a huge platform that brings together all the professional brands of the group: L'Oreal Professional , Kérastase , Mizani , Redken ,...).

We arrive in the boxes arranged on each side of the big stage. Here, we work with Lawrence Decreton Sophie and Baucis . There are many things to finish: black helmet with rhinestones, pieces of gilt mirrors, wig mount needles, hair irons, ...

The day ended with rehearsals on stage for the shows tomorrow.

Sunday, November 7, 2010. Here we are. The night has not yet given way to sunshine in my wake. From the bedroom window, I see the neon signs at the entrance of MCB .
My colleague Francesco and I arrive backstage world already teeming with Eric Zemmour , Lawrence Decreton , Laetitia Guenaou , Sophie Baucis , Bruno Guiot and their teams.

Throughout the morning, I see each activate his spot. Pressure mounts over minutes and hours. Our first show is at 11:25. Everything must be ready. Francesco is braids, Jean-David loop a wig, pancake Eric's hair mannequins. The whole team is active Riviera.

Slim! One detail is wrong! We must resume work on the first needle wig. We must act quickly. All the world help each other.
The minutes are shelled. Hairstyles take their volumes parade. The makeup girls transform into creatures. Clothing complete this transformation.
The time is near. I read the voltage on the face of Eric. In a moment he will be on the main stage of MCB , in front of thousands of hairdressers, photographers and cameras before the world press.

A final set pin. A final strand to be painted. We must dress quickly. Keeping scene requires.
