The landscape opens up to me in all its variety, its transformations, its multiple facets. The houses built on the ground offer the traveler that I shine dapper their colorful facades, their gardens maintained. Cities, villages, countryside come to me nicely with the sharpness of the inevitable things seen for the first time. Because if I traveled a long, melancholy and blinded places, met people and situations through, appeared under the veil of illusion and anxiety .. At last objects and people with distinct outlines, places entrenched, identified by their color, line their construction in a clear presence. The world is built: it's solid. A father and son built their house that opens onto an agricultural landscape in the distance and the monumental architecture of the mill, a man leans over his crop with tenderness, schoolchildren go by two friends at the age of mirroring An old man cleans the windows of his house and looks the street that comes alive. A beautiful young woman dressed stylish look to the side that happens to her from the road. Whether one sees things one way or the flesh-an undulating field of wheat-the edge of the city or market gardens - the world is taking shape with the same simplicity, the same evidence, as " refreshed, washed in the consciousness of the beholder and that which portrays.

The space 36 carries for over ten years, with many artists, research projects on the city, included in its meaning both territorial (architecture, heritage, natural environment) and social (its people, their living space). In a move she launched simultaneously in Catania (Sicily) and Lisbon (Portugal), Florence Chevallier (price Niepce 1998) achieves portraits of people, buildings, landscapes. It is an immersion in countries familiar, yet unknown to the artist. Each image conveys a look of our intimate space, mingling with our inner landscapes.
